The eagerly-anticipated ‘One Amazing Night’ world-tour featuring Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan with Aishwarya Rai, plus a host of top notch stars, has now been postponed from August-September 2007 to mid 2008.

Confirming this rather surprising development, Amitabh, told in a interview: “Yes, we’ve to shift the proposed concert to next year because of Abhishek and Aishwarya’s wedding. They’ve a jam-packed schedule this year. With the wedding also happening it would be impossible for them to leave for two months. We’ve to give them time to finish their other commitments.

“This year they don’t even have time for any rehearsals. That apart, the concert tour plans remains unchanged. It’s still the three of us, plus a lot of our colleagues.”

Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra are some of the stars who would be accompanying the Bachchans for the world tour, designed as the most spectacular staged event from the Mumbai film industry of all times.

I’m learning to curb my impulses – Amrita Arora

Amrita Arora

Amrita Arora, who went scandalously and fashionably grey-to-black in Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Red’, is candid enough to admit her career isn’t going the way she would’ve liked to. ‘I guess I made a few mistakes. That was bound to be when you’re young and reckless. Now I’m learning to curb my impulses, to look at my career more maturely. With ‘Red’, I’ve made a fresh start,’ she told in a interview.

Amrita loves to be in Bollywood. ‘I love the buzz and the bustle. I love putting on make-up every morning. I’ve never encountered sleaziness. Of course, it exists in every field. It depends entirely on how an individual projects himself or herself.

Lara wins toss, puts Australia into bat

WI v/s AUS

ST JOHN’S: West Indies skipper Brian Lara won the toss in their second-stage Super Eights match with holders Australia on Tuesday and put them into bat.

Teams:

Australia – Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden, Ricky Ponting(captain), Michael Clarke, Andrew Symonds, Michael Hussey, ShaneWatson, Brad Hogg, Nathan Bracken, Shaun Tait, Glenn McGrath.

West Indies – Chris Gayle, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, RamnareshSarwan, Marlon Samuels, Brian Lara (captain), Dwayne Bravo,Dwayne Smith, Denesh Ramdin, Corey Collymore, Jerome Taylor,Daren Powell.

Australia’s progress to the Super Eights of the tournament has so far been serene with comfortable victories in all of their Group A games including an eventually emphatic 83-run thumping of top ranked South Africa on Saturday.

Lara’s West Indies have possibly not shown quite the ruthless form of Ricky Ponting’s men but they too arrive here with a 3-0 perfect record from Group D, their opening-day victory helping to knock out Pakistan.

Earlier, Captain Brian Lara insists his team will not crumble when they face rampant defending champions Australia in the match.

West Indies, bidding to become the first host nation to win the world title, could not have chosen a more menacing opponent.

Lara’s side beat Australia in the Champions Trophy group games in India in
2006, when seamer Jerome Taylor grabbed four wickets and Runako Morton
top-scored with 90.
